UNIT 6: Vocabulary

Accesory: a thing which can be added to something else in order to make it more useful, versatile, or attractive
Belt: a strip of leather or other material worn, typically round the waist, to support or hold in clothes or to carry weapons
Earring: a piece of jewellery worn on the lobe or edge of the ear
Necklace: an ornamental chain or string of beads, jewels, or links worn round the neck
Ring: small circular band, typically of precious metal and often set with one or more gemstones, worn on a finger as an ornament or a token of marriage, engagement, or authority
Goal: a pair of posts linked by a crossbar and typically with a net between, forming a space into or over which the ball has to be sent in order to score
Ice rink: an enclosed area of ice for skating, ice hockey, or curling
Pass: move or cause to move in a specified direction
Slide: move smoothly along a surface while maintaining continuous contact with it.
Spectator: a person who watches at a show, game, or other event

Ireland Work

WRITING

1st day
Our departure from Villamayor was at 4:00 a.m. We arrived to Rush at 2:00 p.m., so we stayed all the morning travelling. In the afternoon we spoke with our host family and them we watched some Netflix.
The dinner was pizza and we ate it with the kids, Sam and Cloudah. We didn't meet our host mother until 8:00 p.m., because she was playing gaelic football.

2nd day
 We has an all day excursion to Glandelouh. In there, there are a lake and some Christian ruins. We arrived to Rush at 5:00 p.m.. The rest of the day we stayed in the house, talking with our host family

3rd day
We has our firs day of school. It started at 9:30 a.m. and it finished at 12:35 p.m. Then we had time to eat our pack lunch and then we had an excursion to Dunlinia. Dublinia is a museum that explain the history of the Vikings in Ireland. After the visit to the museum we has some free time to walk around Temple Bar, the alternative neighbourhood.
We arrived to Rush at 5:00 p.m. and we had dinner we our host family. In the afternoon we went to bowling

4th day
In the morning we had classes. After the lunch we had an excursion to Croke Park, the biggest stadium of Ireland. In there, they explained us about the Gaelic football.
After the dinner we went to a Greyhound race. This day was my favorite one

5th day
In the morning, we had classes. In the afternoon we went to the GPO. The GPO is a museum that explains the independence of Ireland. This is one of my favorites days, because the museum was very interesting. We dinner with the family and after the dinner we stayed at home

6th day
We went to the school in the morning. In the afternoon we went to the center and we had some free time to do some shops. Ana and I went to Temple Bar again to do some shops because we love the shops of this zone. Then we returned to our hosthouse and we stay our last day with the family
